About Ubuntu-Afya (USA)

Ubuntu-Afya (USA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Michigan, established to support the mission and programs of Afya Research Africa (ARA), a Kenyan non-profit dedicated to expanding access to quality healthcare for underserved communities.

We mobilize resources, partnerships, and awareness in the United States to strengthen community-based primary healthcare systems across Africa. Through fundraising, technical collaboration, and advocacy, we help sustain the innovative Ubuntu-Afya Health Kiosk Network.

Our role is to connect global goodwill with local impact, channeling support to programs that empower frontline health workers and improve health outcomes for children and families across Kenya.

The Ubuntu-Afya Kiosk Network

ARA delivers healthcare through a network of community co-owned primary healthcare centers that offer comprehensive Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH) services alongside diagnostic and treatment for malaria, HIV, and other infectious diseases.
